Taranaki’s cow family roots lie at the Latuch farm in Pennsylvania, USA. The story begins with Latuch Ivanhoe Laura Star (EX 92 – 5E) who produced 128 642kg milk in 12 lactations. In 1981, her Nugget daughter Latuch Laurie Golden was born and attracted the attention of the Dutch Etazon program with her outstanding production indexes. Her flushing to Cleitus produced Eastland Golden (VG 88) who, as a maiden heifer, was flushed to Sunnyboy to produce Holland’s flagship, Cash.
